Indulge in a whimsical journey of flavors with our exclusive Prime Barrel selection of Bardstown Bourbon Company's Single Barrel Kentucky Straight Bourbon, fondly named "Wonderwall." This distinctive name pays a playful homage to being just two days shy of a 7-year maturation period, adding a touch of whimsy to your whiskey experience ("two days was gonna be the day!").
Selected during one of our adventurous barrel-picking expeditions earlier this year, this gem is among the first BBC Single Barrels to grace the market nationally. With its 126.2 proof, it's a bourbon that's best appreciated slightly below its proof level to unveil the full spectrum of its rich, nuanced character.
As you delve into this fine bourbon, the nose invites you to warmly embrace caramel and toffee intertwined with rye grassy notes, vanilla, and a hint of oak spice. The palate is a delightful continuation of this aromatic narrative, offering a very viscous, smooth encounter with floral and sweet flavors of caramel, ripe apple, and vanilla. The journey concludes with a medium to long finish, leaving a lingering taste of mastery that beckons for another sip.
This "Wonderwall" edition is a rare opportunity to savor Bardstown Bourbon Co.'s renowned quality in a singular, unblended form. This is one of the very first single-barrel expressions available on the market.
