Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Wheat Whiskey
This whiskey is a softer, sweeter expression from the award-winning Woodford Reserve Distillery. Drawing inspiration from historic wheat whiskey recipes and influenced by the distillery’s iconic bourbon style. This expression offers a unique profile within the Woodford family.
Crafted with a mash bill featuring 52% wheat alongside corn, malt, and rye, this whiskey delivers a balanced and approachable flavour. Aged in new charred American oak barrels, its character is shaped by both tradition and meticulous barrel ageing.
- The nose is lively with spicy applesauce, toasted coconut, and hints of cocoa nib and fresh mint
- The palate of Woodford Reserve Kentucky Straight Wheat Whiskey is smooth with warming spice, sweet grains, and light fruit tones
- Finish is long, balanced and gently earthy, with lingering oak, soft spice, and cocoa notes
Perfect for pairing with roasted chicken, herbed pork loin, or mild cheeses like gouda. Its subtle sweetness and gentle spice also complement apple pie, pecan tart or spiced nuts, enhancing both the whiskey and the dish.
