2000. Edition #126. 1 Liter. Woodford Reserve Kentucky Derby Limited Edition — commemorating the 126th running of the Kentucky Derby, won by Fusaichi Pegasus, the most expensive horse ever to win the race at the time of his purchase.
Fusaichi Pegasus was purchased for $70 million, making the 2000 Derby one of the most anticipated in modern history. His convincing victory at Churchill Downs produced one of the rare moments when the sport's greatest financial investment aligned with its greatest performance. The 2000 Derby edition is part of the early-2000s run of Woodford Reserve Derby editions that are now 25 years from original release.
