This exceptional S.T. Dupont Ligne 2 Large lighter, crafted in 2016, is a rare Limited Edition dedicated to one of the greatest masterpieces of the Renaissance—the Vitruvian Man by Leonardo da Vinci. Produced in a strictly limited edition of only 1,490 pieces worldwide, the edition number commemorates the year traditionally associated with the creation of the famous drawing, making this one of S.T. Dupont’s most sought-after modern collector releases.
Finished in rich brown Chinese lacquer with finely engraved gold detailing, the lighter pays tribute to Leonardo’s celebrated interpretation of the ideal proportions of the human body, inspired by Vitruvius’ De Architectura. The intricate decoration reflects the Maison’s mastery of traditional Chinese lacquer craftsmanship combined with precision engraving, resulting in a design that is both artistic and technically exceptional.
The prestigious Ligne 2 Large format offers outstanding balance in hand and features S.T. Dupont’s signature clear “clink” opening sound together with its refined dual soft-flame system. Preserved in outstanding condition and accompanied by its complete original presentation set, this example represents a museum-grade collector’s piece combining luxury craftsmanship, historical inspiration, and strict production rarity.
