This exceptional S.T. Dupont Ligne 2 Large lighter, crafted in 1983, is one of the Maison’s most elegant early Ligne 2 models. Beautifully executed in a luxurious heavy 18K rose gold finish, the lighter is enhanced by rich natural brown Chinese lacquer, creating a warm and sophisticated contrast that perfectly reflects S.T. Dupont’s renowned mastery of traditional lacquer craftsmanship.
A particularly desirable feature of this early-production example is the original 18K Rose Gold marking stamped on the underside, confirming its authentic factory finish. During the early years of Ligne 2 production, S.T. Dupont identified several of its premium finishes with factory hallmarks, making these early stamped examples especially sought after by collectors today.
The prestigious Large Ligne 2 format offers exceptional balance, refined proportions, and the legendary S.T. Dupont “clink” opening sound that has become the hallmark of the Maison’s finest lighters. The combination of warm rose gold and deep brown Chinese lacquer makes this one of the most timeless and iconic vintage Ligne 2 configurations ever produced.
Preserved in outstanding original condition and accompanied by its original presentation box and documents, this complete full set represents an exceptional example of early S.T. Dupont craftsmanship and luxury.
