This extraordinary S.T. Dupont Jeroboam table lighter, crafted in the 1940s, is one of the earliest and most iconic table lighters ever produced by the Maison. Representing the pioneering years of S.T. Dupont’s luxury lighter production, the Jeroboam has become one of the most sought-after models among serious collectors due to its historical significance, exceptional craftsmanship, and innovative engineering.
Executed in a luxurious heavy 18K gold finish with elegant natural black lacquer, this remarkable lighter is distinguished by its striking red medallion and yellow lacquer signature, details that make this model instantly recognizable and one of the most artistic creations ever produced by S.T. Dupont. The harmonious combination of precious finishes and traditional lacquer craftsmanship reflects the Maison’s unrivalled expertise during its earliest years.
Powered by a traditional benzine (petrol) mechanism, the Jeroboam incorporates one of the most ingenious features ever designed for a table lighter. Hidden within the body is an extendable lighting wand, allowing the flame to be safely passed to a guest’s cigarette or cigar without lifting or moving the lighter itself. This elegant hospitality feature perfectly embodies the luxury lifestyle of the era and remains one of the most distinctive mechanical innovations ever introduced by S.T. Dupont.
Preserved in outstanding original condition, this exceptional example represents a museum-quality collector’s piece and a rare opportunity to acquire one of the earliest and most important table lighters in S.T. Dupont history.
