Uncle Nearest Premium Whiskey honors Nathan "Nearest" Green — the first known African American master distiller in U.S. history, who taught Jack Daniel the art of whiskey making. Built on that legacy of excellence, Uncle Nearest's Rye was a lofty experiment that worked: a 100% rye mash bill matured in used Uncle Nearest barrels, then bottled at 100 proof.
The result keeps with Uncle Nearest's tradition of creating some of the most awarded whiskeys in the world — rye whiskey elevated, hitting every mark with a rich flavor profile, incredible balance of spices, and an extraordinarily smooth finish.
