Doctor Bird Coco Atoll is a bold reimagining of coconut rum, expanding upon Two James Spirits' award-winning Doctor Bird Jamaican Rum with natural coconut infusion that elevates the category. Crafted from premium pot-distilled Jamaican rum blended with natural coconut extract and bottled at 90 proof (45% ABV), this expression captures the richness and funk of traditional Jamaican rum-making while introducing tropical coconut character that feels refined rather than gimmicky. Named after the vibrant Doctor Bird hummingbird—Jamaica's national bird—this rum embodies both the island's natural beauty and its legendary rum heritage, distilled using centuries-old techniques at the source before finishing at Two James' Detroit distillery.
On the nose, it bursts with ripe banana, toasted coconut, and caramelized sugar, while the palate delivers lush butterscotch, tropical fruit, and funky Jamaican rum character balanced by creamy coconut sweetness and subtle oak warmth. The finish is smooth, lingering, and gently warming with a whisper of oak. This is serious rum-making that refuses to compromise—the coconut infusion is subtle yet expressive, never overshadowing the complex fruity character that makes Doctor Bird legendary, yet present enough to create genuine tropical indulgence.
Perfect for sipping neat over a large ice cube to appreciate the layers of flavor, or elevating classic cocktails like the Piña Colada with authentic, artisanal depth. Pair it with grilled pineapple, coconut-based desserts, or spicy jerk chicken to enhance its sweet and tropical character. This is what coconut rum should taste like—bold, refined, and unapologetically Jamaican.
