Distilled by Tullamore Distillery in County Offaly, Ireland, Tullamore D.E.W. is a world-renowned blend known for its signature "Power of Three" approach: triple distilled, a triple blend of all three styles of Irish whiskey (grain, single malt, and single pot still), and triple cask matured. Bottled at 40% ABV, the spirit ages in ex-bourbon and refill hogsheads before finishing in Spanish sherry butts, producing a balanced, smooth, and fruit-forward profile.
Food Pairing: Irish stew, fish and chips, mild Cheddar, roasted chicken, or apple crumble.
Tasting Notes: Bright pale gold with clear brilliance and light-to-medium legs along the glass.
Nose: Light and sweet, opening with green apple, fresh citrus peel, and floral malt, followed by sweet vanilla, butterscotch, and gentle toasted oak.
Palate: Exceptionally smooth and approachable, featuring sweet grain, green orchard fruit, and buttered toast upfront before developing into subtle pot still spice, soft nutmeg, and vanilla cream.
Finish: Medium length, clean, and warm with lingering notes of sweet wood, subtle citrus zest, and soft grain.
Serve: Enjoy neat at room temperature, on the rocks, or as a base in an Irish Coffee or a classic Whisky & Ginger Ale.
