We love this green tea blend as a refreshing pick-me-up and
for its mildly tannic taste, with pleasant lemony notes.
Green tea has been enjoyed for thousands of years as a healthy beverage. Both green and black tea come from leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant, but are processed differently. This green tea is hand plucked, withered, pan fired, and dried.
Some of our favorite high quality green tea is grown in the Nilgiri (“Blue”) Mountains in India, a range known for lush forests and valleys. Your purchase of this organic and Fairtrade Certified green tea ensures that it is grown without chemical pesticides and fertilizers, that the farmers receive financial support for their community’s empowerment, and that they have fair labor standards. Thus every leaf picked contributes to the enhanced livelihood of these farmers and their families.
