We have an exciting announcement from The Spice & Jam Trading Co: they’ve added a new varietal to their intensely tasty collection! Our 2020 Malbec is bursting with jammy dark fruit flavor and subtle spice. This attention-grabbing wine comes from the historic region of Lodi, California. Here Malbec grapes enjoy a Mediterranean climate, which allows their fruit flavors to ripen fully to levels resulting in flavor-packed wines like this. Although Americans did not identify it as Malbec until years later, this beloved black grape is believed to have journeyed to California around the mid-1800s. Over time, Malbec has made its way into the hearts of wine lovers, earning a spot among some of the most recognized grape varieties. From the brand that’s not afraid to roll up its sleeves to bring you the best of the best, we proudly pass along this taste of California’s wine history.
