The Mission - God's Own Medicine (Collector's Edition Oxblood Vinyl)
Celebrate the 40th Anniversary of The Mission's seminal debut album, 'God's Own Medicine,' with this newly mastered collector's edition on striking oxblood vinyl. Originally released in 1986, this album established The Mission's unique identity and delivered some of their most enduring tracks.
Newly mastered by George Shilling, this release features the album sequenced as originally planned by Wayne Hussey in 1986. It includes the full-length version of ‘Love Me To Death’, a track previously omitted from the original album release and never before available in its complete form on vinyl. Essential singles such as 'Wasteland' and 'Stay With Me' are also featured, cementing their status as fan favorites and live set staples.
Formed in 1986 by former Sisters of Mercy members Wayne Hussey and Craig Adams, with guitarist Simon Hinkler joining shortly after, The Mission quickly rose to prominence. 'God's Own Medicine' charted at #14, showcasing tracks that have resonated with fans for generations. This edition, pressed on oxblood colour vinyl for the first time, also boasts corrected album artwork and a printed inner sleeve.
This collector's edition LP commemorates a significant milestone for the band, coinciding with their highly anticipated 4-night residency at London’s O2 Forum Kentish Town in November 2026.
