Physics takes a backseat here. The Macallan Horizon defies the vertical convention of the liquor cabinet, resting horizontally in a vessel engineered in partnership with Bentley Motors. This object is not merely glass holding liquid; it is a kinetic sculpture constructed from six distinct, repurposed materials—including copper from the distillery’s curiously small stills and aluminum from the Bentley factory floor.
The liquid inside matches the container's audacity. Master Whisky Maker Kirsteen Campbell selected six first-fill sherry seasoned oak casks to create a profile that balances the rich, resinous history of Speyside with a modern, driving intensity. The whisky sits at 46.6% ABV, a subtle nod to the six pillars that define the brand’s obsession with quality.
You are holding a convergence of two worlds. The leather wrapping the glass is the same grade found in a Continental GT, while the oak cradle honors the casks that shaped the spirit. This release demands center stage, refusing to be hidden among a row of standing bottles.
