"The Kraken Black Spiced" is a popular brand of spiced rum produced by Proximo Spirits. The name "Kraken" is derived from the mythical sea creature, a giant squid or octopus, which is known for its deep-sea legends and maritime folklore. The Kraken Black Spiced rum is distinguished by its dark and rich color, attributed to the use of caramel coloring and a blend of various spices. It typically features flavors of vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves, among other spices, which give the rum its distinctive taste. As a spiced rum, The Kraken is often enjoyed in various cocktails or mixed with cola, creating a classic "Kraken and Coke" drink. It is known for its bold and flavorful character, making it a favorite choice among spiced rum enthusiasts.
