How can I use these crushed peppermint pieces in baking and decorating?
These pieces are versatile: sprinkle over frostings, fold into batters, or rim beverage glasses for instant seasonal flair. They work with both hot and cold preparations, providing a crunchy contrast and minty finish to sweets and drinks.
- Top cakes, cupcakes, and cookies for eye-catching texture and color.
- Mix into ice cream, sundaes, or frozen yogurt for peppermint crunch.
- Press into glazes, chocolate-dipped treats, or truffles for a professional look.
- Use as a garnish on hot cocoa or cocktails by rimming glasses with crushed pieces.
Will these peppermint pieces hold up in recipes that require baking?
Yes—these crushed pieces tolerate brief oven exposure and maintain some crunch, though extended baking may soften them. For best texture, add them after baking to frostings or as a finishing touch; for peppermint flavor throughout, fold into batter late in the mixing process.
- Add near the end of mixing to preserve color and bite.
- Use as a finishing decoration on warm desserts to keep crunch.
- Sprinkle over cooled frostings and glazes to avoid melting.
What are the practical details about packaging and storage?
This product ships in a one-pound resealable bag to help maintain freshness between uses. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight; keep the bag sealed to prevent moisture softening the candy pieces.
- Net weight: 1 pound of crushed red-and-white peppermint pieces.
- Resealable bulk bag for repeated use across multiple projects.
- Best stored at room temperature in a dry environment to preserve crunch.
Are these peppermint pieces suitable for events and large-scale decorating?
The bulk one-pound size is convenient for parties, holiday baking sessions, and small-scale catering. They provide enough volume to decorate dozens of cupcakes or several cakes, and the festive red-and-white appearance fits seasonal themes and celebrations.
- Perfect for holiday parties, weddings, showers, and birthday themes.
- Enough quantity to decorate multiple batches of cookies or cupcakes.
- Portable and easy to portion for event prep and party favors.
