The Glenturret 10 Year Old Peat Smoked is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky produced at Scotland's oldest working distillery. Crafted using peated malted barley and aged for a minimum of ten years in a combination of European and American oak casks, it celebrates the historic tradition of peat use in Highland whisky production, balancing earthy smoke with sweet fruit and warm oak spice.
Food Pairing: Smoked meats, dark chocolate desserts, blue cheese, grilled salmon, and sticky date pudding.
Tasting Notes : Warm amber gold in appearance with a rich, smooth, and full-bodied mouthfeel.
Nose : Sweet peat smoke integrated with fresh citrus peel, vanilla pod, soft heather honey, and subtle toasted oak.
Palate : Smoky and sweet, featuring flavors of campfire ember, sweet apple, dark chocolate, lemon zest, and warm baking spices.
Finish : Long, warm, and lingering with persistent peat smoke, gentle oak tannins, and lingering dried fruit sweetness.
Serve : Serve neat in a Glencairn glass, or add a few drops of water to open up the sweet citrus and smoke layers.
