The Botanist Cask Rested Gin
The Botanist Cask Rested Gin is distilled on Islay by Bruichladdich Distillery, a producer known for its progressive approach to whisky and gin. This release takes their award-winning Islay Dry Gin and rests it in a blend of American and European oak casks for at least six months.
The gin is built on a base of 22 hand-foraged botanicals, all sourced from the island. Resting in cask adds depth and softness, layering in subtle spice, dried fruit and vanilla.
- The Botanist Cask Rested Gin opens with warming spice, candied citrus peel and floral notes of chamomile and heather.
- The palate is silky and layered, with orange zest, cinnamon, coconut and a gentle oak richness.
- Finishes long and herbal with coriander, citrus oil and a soft echo of wood spice.
Pairs beautifully with grilled pork, aged cheeses or herb-roasted chicken.
