The Bitter Truth Violet Liqueur is a floral German liqueur made from violet blossoms and roots added to a fine neutral spirit. Its vivid purple color introduces an expressive but balanced style designed for cocktails that need a natural violet character rather than a heavy or one-dimensional sweetness.
The aroma is led by Parma violets, with supporting notes of wild berries and vanilla. The palate is lightly sweet and distinctly floral, while the violet remains delicate enough to bring definition without overwhelming the surrounding ingredients. The result is fragrant, colorful, and well suited to precise mixing.
Use it in an Aviation, Blue Moon, or Violet Fizz, or add a measured pour to sparkling wine. This single 750 mL bottle is produced in Germany and bottled at 22% ABV, equivalent to 44 proof, for classic recipes and modern floral drinks alike.
