The Bitter Truth Original Celery Bitters 200ml revives a historic cocktail ingredient in a concentrated German bottling at 44% ABV (88 proof). The producer describes it as the first commercially available celery bitters in decades, developed to bring an unusually savory, vegetal accent to both classic recipes and modern drinks.
Its aromatic profile opens with white grape and Sencha tea, then moves through lemongrass, celery leaf, and fresh ginger. On the palate, fresh celery remains central while coriander seed and chicory add spice and bitterness. The result is complex, bright, and distinctly herbaceous rather than simply celery flavored.
Use a few dashes to refresh a Bloody Mary, Red Snapper, or Dry Martini, or add structure to a Gin & Tonic. The producer also recommends pairing these bitters with gin, vodka, blanco tequila, and white rum, making the bottle a versatile tool for savory and citrus-led cocktails. This listing is for one 200ml bottle.
