An older Balvenie
The 30 Year Old has long been part of The Balvenie's older range. It brings together whiskies slowly aged in traditional oak with others from European oak sherry casks, married under the eye of the Malt Master.
The whisky
The Balvenie's notes describe a smooth, honeyed nose with mellow oak and candied orange peel. The palate is deep and rich, with dark chocolate, plum, marzipan and caramelised pear, finishing smooth and warming with gentle spice.
How to enjoy it
Pour a small measure neat into a nosing glass and give it time to open. Try a drop of water once you have tasted it neat.
