Produced on the volcanic island of Santorini in Greece’s Cyclades archipelago, Domaine Sigalas and neighboring producers helped put Santorini on the world wine map, while the Karamolegos family has become one of the island’s benchmark estates. Terra Nera showcases the unique influence of Santorini’s volcanic terroir, where ancient vines grow in ash-rich soils, shaped by strong Aegean winds and a dry maritime climate.
Fresh and mineral-driven, this white wine opens with aromas of lemon zest, green apple, white peach, and citrus blossom, layered with distinctive notes of wet stone, sea spray, and herbs. Light to medium-bodied with vibrant acidity and a pronounced mineral backbone, it delivers remarkable freshness and precision with a long, saline finish.
A striking and food-friendly Mediterranean white, ideal alongside fresh seafood, grilled octopus, oysters, lemon-roasted chicken, or classic Greek cuisine. Its crisp acidity and volcanic minerality make it a standout choice for lovers of Sauvignon Blanc, Chablis, or other mineral-driven whites.
