Teeling Wonders Of Wood Irish Whiskey
The Wonders of Wood series showcases the innovation and craftsmanship for which the Teeling Whiskey Distillery is renowned. This unique collection explores the impact of different wood types on whiskey maturation. Bottling this Irish whiskey consists of a Single Pot Still crafted from a recipe of 50% malted barley and 50% un-malted barley. It is distilled in their Dublin distillery and fully matured in virgin Swedish oak casks, bottled at 50% ABV with no chill filtration.
- The nose opens with bright, floral notes intertwined with zesty citrus fruits. Subtle hints of caramel lend a touch of sweetness, while the earthy aroma of cooked barley adds depth.
- The palate is rich and full-bodied. Herbal undertones provide a fresh, green vibrancy, complemented by the warming sweetness of candied ginger and the nuttiness of almond. Layers of treacle bring a deep, molasses-like richness, balancing the brighter elements with a velvety smoothness.
- The finish is clean and dry, leaving a lingering warmth. A gentle spice of black pepper emerges, enhanced by the aromatic warmth of nutmeg.
The Wonders of Wood series celebrates both tradition and experimentation, offering whiskey enthusiasts a truly remarkable drinking experience.
