Introducing Taconic Distillery Rolling Hills "Rum DMC" Rum, The Prime Barrel Pick #99 – a game-changing rum that defies expectations and expands palates. While The Prime Barrel Club is known for its exceptional whiskey selections, this limited-edition rum challenges the norm, delivering a flavor profile so complex that even seasoned whiskey drinkers might mistake it for a well-aged bourbon.
Aged in Upstate New York after beginning its journey in the Caribbean, this Florida Caribbean rum spent time in Taconic Distillery barrels, resulting in a 146-proof (Hazmat!) spirit that drinks smoother than its strength would suggest. Expect to find notes of maraschino cherries, pecans, and maple syrup on the nose, with hints of tropical fruits like ripe pineapple and honeydew melon, mingled with the comforting vanilla and caramel you'd associate with bourbon. On the palate, waves of flavor unfold, from baking spices to Werther's candy, with a finish that lingers for minutes, offering charred oak, charred pineapple, nutmeg, and white pepper.
This rum isn't just for rum lovers – it's a whiskey drinker's rum, perfect for those who want to explore something new without straying too far from the familiar. Whether you're celebrating National Rum Day or simply looking to add something unique to your collection, "Rum DMC" is a must-try. And don’t just take our word for it – our team members who tasted it blind swore it was a bourbon with a twist, proving just how versatile and deceptive this rum can be.
Grab your bottle today and experience the rum that even non-rum fans are falling in love with!
