Strongwater Cherry Bitters are a small-batch, handcrafted cocktail and culinary bitter that delivers ripe cherry fruitiness layered over warming botanical spices.
Made in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, this 3 oz bottle captures tart and sour cherries alongside a foundation of earthy spices like cassia chips and cherry bark. It’s formulated to bring real cherry character — not artificial extract — to cocktails, nonalcoholic beverages, and kitchen recipes, while remaining non-GMO, gluten-free, and free of added sugars.
How will these bitters change my cocktails?
These bitters add concentrated cherry depth without making drinks syrupy. A few dashes introduce bright tartness and rounded fruit notes that play well with whiskey, brandy, or fortified wines, while the spice base brings balance and warmth.
- Add 2–3 dashes to a Manhattan or Old Fashioned for cherry-forward complexity.
- Use 1–2 dashes in spirit-free drinks to give soda or tonic a grown-up fruit backbone.
- Drop one dash into sparkling wine for subtle fruit aroma without extra sweetness.
What makes Strongwater’s cherry bitters different from other cherry flavorings?
Instead of relying on single-note extracts or added sugars, this formula blends real tart and sour cherries with botanical elements like schisandra berries and cherry bark for a layered result. The outcome is an authentic fruit profile complemented by earthy spice, designed for resilience in mixed drinks.
- Real cherries provide genuine fruit complexity rather than artificial candy notes.
- Botanical spices sustain flavor in stirred and spirit-forward cocktails.
- Small-batch production preserves aromatic nuance and attention to ingredient quality.
How can I use these bitters in the kitchen outside of drinks?
Cherry bitters are a versatile seasoning for both sweet and savory recipes. A few drops can elevate pan sauces, vinaigrettes, desserts, or roasted fruit dishes by adding concentrated cherry accent and subtle spice without extra liquid or sugar.
- Stir into vinaigrettes for salads with goat cheese or roasted beets.
- Deglaze pans for pork or duck to introduce fruit and spice complexity.
- Spike chocolate sauces, compotes, or whipped creams for a refined cherry note.
How should I store and dose this 3 oz bottle?
Keep the bottle in a cool, dark place away from direct heat and light to preserve aroma and flavor. Dose conservatively at first—bitters are concentrated—then adjust to taste; most cocktails need only one to three dashes.
- Store upright in a pantry or cabinet for longest shelf stability.
- Start with one dash and increase incrementally to avoid overpowering a drink.
- Shake gently before use if ingredients have settled; no refrigeration required.
Who is this for? Home bartenders, professional mixologists, and culinary enthusiasts who want authentic cherry character without added sugar will appreciate Strongwater Cherry Bitters. It’s ideal for anyone seeking a premium, small-batch bitter to refine classic cocktails, create sophisticated nonalcoholic beverages, or introduce nuanced cherry-spice notes into recipes.
