The S.T. Dupont Line 1 Vertical Lines Gold Finish Lighter marks the return of the very first luxury lighter ever created by the Maison. This modern reissue honors an icon while presenting it in a refined, contemporary execution that feels as relevant today as it did at its debut. Finished in palladium with the unmistakable vertical guilloché signature, the lighter reflects S.T. Dupont’s enduring commitment to precision, balance, and understated elegance.
At the heart of this design is the Line 1 Cling mechanism, celebrated for its clear, resonant sound when the cap is opened and closed. This signature cling is paired with a soft, double yellow flame that provides even, controlled ignition, making it equally suitable for cigars or cigarettes. The tactile experience is central to the Line 1 identity, from the weight of the metal in hand to the smooth action of the flint wheel and cap.
Originally introduced in the early 1940s, the Line 1 established S.T. Dupont as the inventor of the luxury pocket lighter and quickly became a symbol of refinement among tastemakers and cultural icons. This new release pays tribute to that heritage without leaning on nostalgia, instead focusing on the craftsmanship and performance that defined the original. The vertical guilloché pattern adds depth and visual rhythm while enhancing grip, and the palladium finish delivers a cool, luminous sheen that complements the lighter’s architectural form.
Meticulously crafted in France, the S.T. Dupont Line 1 Vertical Lines Gold Lighter is a statement of timeless design and technical mastery. It is a fitting choice for those who appreciate heritage reinterpreted through modern precision, and for anyone who values the quiet confidence of a true classic returned to its rightful place.
