The new S.T. Dupont Le Grand Lacquer lighter marks a historic first for the Maison, uniting its legendary natural black lacquer with the unmistakable signature ping. For the first time, the deep, glossy lacquer craftsmanship that defines S.T. Dupont meets the resonant sound long associated with its most celebrated creations. The result is a brand new chapter in the Le Grand story, where heritage, precision engineering, and sensory refinement come together in a single, extraordinary object.
Finished in rich black lacquer and accented with palladium, this Le Grand Dupont embodies both restraint and presence. The diamond pattern guilloché cap reflects light with striking dimension, while the sleek proportions and balanced weight ensure effortless handling. Every detail has been considered, from the crisp articulation of the cap to the flawless lacquer surface, creating a lighter that feels as remarkable in the hand as it appears to the eye.
At the heart of this new release is the iconic ping. When opened, the cap delivers the clear, resonant sound that has become a symbol of French elegance and mechanical mastery. It is not simply a function but a signature, an audible expression of craftsmanship that distinguishes this Le Grand Lacquer from anything that has come before.
True to the Le Grand name, it features a dual ignition system designed for versatility. A soft, precise flame is ideal for cigarettes or controlled lighting, while a powerful torch flame provides the performance required for cigars. This seamless transition elevates each gesture, transforming the everyday ritual of lighting into something intentional and refined.
The Le Grand Lacquer Ping lighter is more than a reinterpretation. It is a milestone, bringing together sound, touch, and artistry in a way that only S.T. Dupont can achieve.
