The MP, or multipurpose, is the clarity burr of SSP's 64mm range. It gives strong flavour separation, bright acidity and a lighter body, which suits filter and modern light roast espresso. Silver Knight is a PVD titanium carbide coating, often described as a semi-DLC finish. It runs slicker than Red Speed and makes slightly fewer fines, so the cup reads cleaner again.
Compatibility
Fits grinders built around the standard 64mm Mazzer burr pattern. Fellow Ode Gen 1 owners should check the 20 digit serial under the grinder first: digits 12 to 14 must read 210 or higher. Mazzer owners should centre the burrs before tightening the screws, and be ready to shim if they do not seat flat.
- Fellow Ode Gen 1 (units made from late 2021 on) and Gen 2
- DF64, DF64 Gen 2, DF64E, DF64P and DF64V
- Option-O Lagom P64
- Mazzer Super Jolly
- Current 64mm Mazzer Mini and Mini Electronic
- Zerno Z1
Not for the older 58mm doser Mazzer Mini, not for Eureka grinders (they use their own 64mm mount) and not for any conical grinder.
