High Uniformity is the espresso burr of SSP’s 64mm range. Uniform grind, full body, syrupy texture, and the most forgiving SSP set to dial in. This one carries the Silver Knight coating instead of the usual Red Speed, which shaves a few fines off, so the cup runs a touch cleaner and lighter.
Compatibility
Fits grinders built around the standard 64mm Mazzer burr pattern.
- Fellow Ode Gen 1 and Gen 2. Gen 1 units need to be late 2021 or newer: check that digits 12 to 14 of the serial number under the grinder read 210 or higher
- Every DF64 model, including the DF64V
- Option-O Lagom P64
- Mazzer Super Jolly
- Current 64mm Mazzer Mini and Mini Electronic
- Zerno Z1
- Timemore Sculptor 064S (listed by SSP retailers)
- Ceado E5P, E6P and E37J (listed by SSP retailers)
Mazzer owners: the screw holes carry up to 1mm of play, so centre the burrs before you tighten and check they seat flat. Fellow does not cover espresso grinding on the Ode under warranty. Not for the older 58mm doser Mazzer Mini, the plain Timemore Sculptor 064, or any Eureka grinder, which takes a different 64mm burr with its own mounting.
Features
- 64 x 64 x 8mm flat burrs, about 249g the set
- High Uniformity (HU) geometry, the espresso cut of the 64mm range
- SKD11 tool steel, machined in South Korea
- Silver Knight coating, a PVD titanium carbide finish retailers describe as semi-DLC, rated for around 5,000kg
- Season 3 to 5kg through them before you judge the cup
What’s in the box
- 1 x Set of SSP 64mm High Uniformity burrs, Silver Knight coated (upper and lower)
