SSP HU burrs with the Red Speed coating make an excellent espresso set: heavy bodied shots with good flavour separation. The HU gives more clarity and a lighter body than the Mazzer 233M while still producing a fair amount of fines.
- Coffee style: espresso
- Taste profile: heavy bodied, flavour separation
- Roast level: the full spectrum. Close to the CV2 on light roasts, best on medium to dark.
- Mounting: blind
Compatibility
This is a blind burr set. The mounting holes are left undrilled and the burrs are machined to locate in the Zerno Z1's burr pockets, so they sit exactly where the Z1 was built to hold them and a swap takes minutes.
- Zerno Z1, the only grinder these fit
Blind burrs have no screw holes, so they will not mount in anything else. If you want this geometry for a Fellow Ode, DF64, Lagom P64 or Mazzer, buy the standard drilled version instead.
