Alfred's is Spilt Milk's love letter to Italian espresso culture, developed to celebrate the opening of Alfred's, their Italian-inspired restaurant in Revelstoke. Named after co-founder Lauren's late grandfather, this dark roast blend brings together coffees from Brazil, Ethiopia, and Sumatra, each adding something distinct to the final cup. Roasted long and slow in the Italian tradition, the goal here is intensity, richness, and that deeply aromatic quality that makes a proper dark espresso so satisfying. Molto intenso, as they say.
The result is exactly what you'd hope for: dark cocoa leads with depth and weight, amaretto adds a sweet, nutty warmth, and tiramisu ties everything together with a lingering, dessert-like finish that coats the palate beautifully. Bold enough to cut through milk and hold its ground as a straight shot, this is a blend built for people who know what they want from their espresso. Here's to Alfred, raise a cup. The quintessential expression of the Italian dark roast tradition: a necessary staple for anyone who takes their morning ritual seriously.
"Big Fan of this one! Tastes like the espresso you'd get in Milano in a chic little cafe. So bold but smooth. on heavy rotation in my house these days." -Samantha

Our Coffee Addicts Promise
We're passionate about fresh, flavourful coffee and we know you are too. For the best taste, enjoy your coffee within approximately 6 weeks of the roast date.
Coffee naturally oxidizes slowly over time, but it can still be enjoyed beyond this window. Any beans older than six weeks from roast are clearly marked and automatically discounted, giving you a great value on quality coffee.
