Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey was born in San Diego, California, in 2018. Husband-and-wife founders Steven and Brittany Yeng first poured peanut butter whiskey shots for locals at their bar. The shots were such a hit that they bottled the recipe.
It blends American whiskey with natural flavors and rich, creamy peanut butter. The taste is sweet and nutty, with hints of caramel and vanilla. A light salty, savory edge keeps the sweetness in check. The finish is smooth, with no harsh bite and a gentle sweetness that lingers.
Competition judges like it too. Skrewball won Double Gold and Best Flavored Whiskey at the New York World Wine & Spirits Competition, as reported in 2019. It also earned Double Gold at the 2021 SIP Awards.
At 35% ABV, or 70 proof, it is easy to sip. Try it neat, over ice or as a quick shot. It also mixes well in a Peanut Butter Old Fashioned, a Nutty Russian or a Skrewball Mudslide.
For food, reach for chocolate desserts, brownies or a cup of coffee. A PB&J-style cocktail is fun for parties too. Grab a bottle if you love sweet, playful flavors and want a whiskey that gets people talking.
