Signatory Vintage 100 Proof Edition #39 Craigellachie 10 Year Old 2014 is a richly textured Speyside single malt Scotch whisky independently bottled by Signatory Vintage. Distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2025, this expression spent ten years maturing in a combination of first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry hogsheads, second-fill Oloroso sherry butts and dechar/rechar hogsheads. Bottled at 57.1% ABV, the traditional 100 British proof strength, it showcases Craigellachie's robust, oily malt character alongside the richness of sherry-seasoned oak. Presented without added colouring or chill filtration, this is a distinctive release from Signatory's 100 Proof Editions range.
Food Pairing: Pairs beautifully with dark chocolate, toasted walnuts, aged Manchego, roasted almonds, dried-fruit cake and sticky toffee pudding. Its rich sherry-cask influence also complements slow-roasted meats and caramelized desserts.
Tasting Notes: A robust Speyside single malt with a full-bodied, oily character shaped by Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks alongside rejuvenated oak. Its profile brings together malt richness, vanilla, oak and fruit.
Nose: Vanilla, oak and fruit are noted in the release's tasting profile, although a detailed official nose breakdown was not available.
Palate: Full-bodied and oily, with the influence of sherry-seasoned oak complementing Craigellachie's substantial malt character.
Finish: A specific producer-verified finish description was not available for this edition.
