This collaboration brings together David Suro a renowned restaurateur, author, spirits importer, educator, and agave expert with the legendary La Alteña distillery, home to the Camarena family. With six generations of agave farming and three generations of Tequila distilling in the Highlands of Jalisco, the Camarenas are pillars of Tequila tradition. La Alteña is the birthplace of acclaimed brands like El Tesoro de Don Felipe, Tapatio, and Tequila Ocho (now made at Destilería Los Alambiques). This partnership is a rare meeting of deep heritage, uncompromising quality, and true Tequila excellence.
Siembra Alteno Reposado Tequila is crafted from 100% blue weber agave grown in the highlands of Jalisco and rested in oak barrels. Siembra Alteno sources estate-grown agave from elevations where cooler temperatures and red volcanic soil create agaves with exceptional depth and complexity.
Siembra Alteno Reposado presents a beautiful pale gold color, a testament to its time resting in oak. The nose is inviting and complex: cooked agave sweetness mingles with vanilla, light caramel, hints of baking spice, and a touch of citrus zest. The finish is smooth and warming, with lingering agave sweetness, subtle oak, and a gentle spice that invites another sip.
