Sheep Dog Peanut Butter Whiskey is a sweet, flavoured American whiskey from Sazerac, made by blending whiskey with real peanuts to create its distinctive peanut-butter character. Bottled at 35% ABV, it delivers an intensely nutty and dessert-like profile with peanut butter, vanilla, caramel corn and butterscotch, backed by subtle whiskey and oak notes. Its rich sweetness makes it particularly suited to chilled shots and dessert-style cocktails.
Food Pairing: Milk chocolate, peanut butter desserts, brownies, vanilla ice cream, salted pretzels, or a classic peanut butter and jam sandwich.
Tasting Notes: Sweet and rich, combining creamy peanut butter with vanilla, caramel corn, butterscotch and subtle whiskey and oak character.
Nose: Pronounced peanut butter leads into vanilla and caramel corn, with butterscotch and subtle whiskey aromas developing underneath.
Palate: Thick and sweet, with peanut butter, vanilla and caramel corn accompanied by orange, butterscotch and candy-like sweetness.
Finish: Warm and semi-dry, leaving lingering peanut butter, vanilla, caramel, butterscotch, subtle oak and coffee.
Serve: Best served well chilled as a shot, over ice, or incorporated into dessert cocktails and peanut butter-and-jelly-inspired drinks.
