Shank's Mare embodies Australia's beauty and rugged allure with its signature grape. Dense, dark fruit notes, savory spice and velvety textures make this an excellent example of classic Aussie Shiraz. McLaren Vale is tucked in the heart of South Australia, between the shores of Gulf St. Vincent and the foothills of the Mount Lofty Ranges. Its first vines were planted in the 1830s, and many consider it the birthplace of the South Australian wine industry. This scenic region offers a Mediterranean climate that fills the summers with warmth and sunshine, while breezes from the nearby mountains and gulf keep vineyards cool. It's no surprise that Shiraz prospers here, producing bold wines booming with powerful fruit flavors. Australia may be far away, but Shank's Mare allows you to connect with this historic region by simply popping a cork. Scroll through the image carousel above to learn more about this wine.
