This exceptional wine is part of our Fine Wine Collection.
Winemaking Winemakers craft this blend by fermenting Petite Sirah and Cabernet Sauvignon separately to preserve each varietal’s unique character. Petite Sirah brings inky color, plush texture, and deep dark fruit, while Cabernet Sauvignon contributes structure, black cherry vibrancy, and fine-grained tannins. A cold soak and controlled fermentation enhance fruit purity. Final blending is guided by meticulous sensory trials, creating a wine that balances bold concentration with refined elegance.
Vintage The 2023 vintage in Paso Robles delivered a combination of extended hang time and balanced ripening, thanks to a cool, steady growing season. Late winter rains replenished vineyard soils, setting the stage for even bud break and healthy canopy development throughout spring. A mild summer followed by gentle late-season warmth allowed both Petite Sirah and Cabernet Sauvignon to reach full phenolic maturity without sacrificing freshness. This blend captures the hallmark traits of 2023—depth, structure, and vibrancy born from a vintage defined by patience and precision.
Pairing Logic This richly layered red blend pairs beautifully with bold, umami-rich dishes like grilled venison, duck confit, or mushroom risotto with truffle oil. The wine’s pronounced boysenberry and black cherry fruit, accented by black tea and soft spice, enhance fare seasoned with cloves, rosemary, or dark fruit glazes. Its structured frame and toasty nuances bring out the best in charred meats, roasted squash, or hard cheeses with a nutty edge.
