Privada Storytelling
The Shadow Smokers Legion cigar, known as Project I.T.S. (In The Shadows), was created by members of the Shadow Smokers Legion cigar community and its founder Tony “Soy Sauce Assassin.” The project was developed as a community driven cigar designed around the preferences and critiques of passionate cigar reviewers and enthusiasts.
Rather than revealing the blend, the creators intentionally kept the tobacco components undisclosed. The idea was to let the cigar speak for itself while maintaining a sense of mystery around the project. The cigar was produced at Las Lavas Factory in the Dominican Republic, a factory known for boutique collaborations and small batch projects.
The result is a cigar built around bold flavor and conversation. It was designed not just as a product but as a shared experience among the Shadow Smokers Legion community.
Flavor Journey
The cigar opens with dark cocoa and roasted coffee notes layered over a peppery backbone. As the smoke develops, lighter floral notes and a subtle salty edge appear, followed by honeyed wood and deeper chocolate tones. The profile stays bold and layered from start to finish, delivering a medium plus to full bodied experience.
Why It Belongs in Privada
This cigar represents a growing trend in boutique cigars where communities of smokers collaborate directly in the creation of a blend. Instead of being driven purely by large brands, the Shadow Smokers Legion project shows how enthusiast groups are shaping modern cigar culture.
