Originating from Canada in the British Columbia region, specifically within the Okanagan Valley VQA appellation, See Ya Later Ranch 'Nelly' Rosé represents a vibrant, fruit forward, and iconic expression of Pacific Northwest winemaking. Perched high on Hawthorne Mountain near Okanagan Falls, See Ya Later Ranch is one of the highest elevation estate vineyards in the valley, named in honor of Major Hugh Fraser and his beloved dog Nelly. The vines grow on well draining glacial till, gravel, and sandy loam soils that benefit from hot summer days and cool mountain air. The winemaking philosophy employs a cool, temperature controlled stainless steel fermentation following short skin contact to preserve pure aromatic freshness and vivid colour. The result is a crowd pleasing, refreshing rosé crafted with perfectly balanced natural acidity.
Wine Description
The wine presents a luminous medium salmon pink colour with bright coral reflections along the rim. An expressive, highly fragrant bouquet opens with inviting aromas of fresh wild strawberry, tart rhubarb, red cherry, and cranberry, interwoven with subtle notes of orange blossom, citrus zest, and a touch of red apple skin. On the palate, it is light-to-medium bodied, crisp, and refreshing, delivering delicious flavours of juicy strawberry jam, red cherry curd, and subtle mineral earth, all supported by a bright, mouthwatering spine of natural citrusy acidity. Framed by a smooth, rounded mid-palate structure and clean tension, it concludes with a crisp, satisfying finish marked by lingering red berries, rhubarb, and a clean citrus lift. Composed of a proprietary blend including Pinot Noir, Gamay, and Merlot, it offers immediate drinking appeal. Stylistically, it combines Okanagan freshness, plush fruit charm, and effortless patio drinkability.
