A magnificent Central Italian red wine displaying an intense, brilliant ruby red color. Sourced exclusively from the estate's legendary Poggio Rosso single vineyard in Castelnuovo Berardenga, this historic icon opens with an aristocratic bouquet of dried plums, dark cherries, and wild violets. The complex nose is beautifully layered with aristocratic regional hints of fine leather, roasted coffee beans, sweet pipe tobacco, and an intriguing touch of warm balsamic minerals. On the palate, it balances an exceptionally elegant, velvety fruit core and a vibrant, linear mountain acidity with noble, seamlessly integrated tannins, delivering a majestic, remarkably persistent, and thoroughly savory finish.
Food Pairing: Pairs flawlessly with thick-cut Fiorentina steak, slow-braised wild boar, roasted rack of lamb with rosemary, and long-aged Pecorino cheeses.
