The full story & FAQBackground · serving notes · questions
The creek
The creek running through the Willett family distillery is named after John Rowan, a 19th-century Kentucky statesman whose Bardstown home, Federal Hill, inspired the song My Old Kentucky Home. Even Kulsveen hand-drew the label in its honour.
The whisky
Rowan's Creek shares its 72% corn, 13% rye, 15% barley mash bill with Noah's Mill, and is bottled at 100.1 proof. Expect a smooth, spicy bourbon with caramel, cherry and a minty, herbal lift.
How to serve it
Lovely neat or over a large ice cube, and strong enough to carry an Old Fashioned or a Boulevardier.
Frequently asked
How does it compare with Noah's Mill?
Same mash bill, lower strength. Rowan's Creek at 100.1 proof is lighter and spicier; Noah's Mill at 114.3 proof is richer and more concentrated.
Does it carry an age statement?
No. Current bottlings of Rowan's Creek do not state an age.
Can I see it before I buy?
