Profile: Medium
The Romeo y Julieta 150th Anniversary Prologue celebrates 150 years of one of the world's most iconic cigar brands with a refined, globally sourced blend crafted by some of the biggest names in premium tobacco. This limited-edition 5×50 robusto showcases an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper, a Mexican San Andrés binder, and a complex, layered filler blend from the Dominican Republic, Honduras, and Peru.
Developed in collaboration with industry legends including: A.J. Fernandez, the Turrent family, the Plasencias, and José Mendez & Co., this cigar represents a true tribute to heritage and craftsmanship. Each leaf was hand-selected, cured, and fermented exclusively for this milestone release and rolled using a special technique reserved only for the most senior artisans in the Dominican Republic.
Expect a medium-bodied profile with rich, engaging notes of chocolate, cinnamon, coffee, cedar, and warm spice, all balanced to deliver evolving layers of flavor from the first puff to the final draw. Elegant, harmonious, and deeply nuanced, the 150th Anniversary Prologue honors the past while offering a luxurious smoking experience made for today's aficionado.
Founded in Havana in 1875, Romeo y Julieta is one of the oldest and most recognisable names in premium cigars — a brand that has survived revolution, exile, and the transformation of the entire industry. The 150th Anniversary Prologue is the most ambitious Romeo y Julieta release in decades, bringing together five of the industry's most respected tobacco families in a single collaborative blend. The Peruvian filler tobacco is a particularly rare component — Peru produces a small quantity of premium tobacco annually, and its inclusion here adds a distinctive earthy sweetness that sets this blend apart from any prior Romeo y Julieta expression. A landmark cigar for a landmark anniversary. Limited production makes this a genuine collector's piece.
