Rocky Patel's Sun Grown Maduro robusto is the #2 cigar of 2016 according to the prized palates over at Cigar Aficionado and who are we to argue? (It scored a '95' if you're the type to keep score at home).
This maduro effort is a follow-up to the initial Rocky Patel Sun Grown cigar blend that has been quite popular. While the original was manufactured in Honduras, this new take is made in Nicaragua at Rocky Patel's TaviCusa factory. The Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper sits on top of two binders and Nicaraguan long-filler tobacco. You're going to be impressed by the full-bodied experience this cigar provides and it's an excellent addition to the Patel line-up.
Look for hints of earthy notes along with some chocolate/cocoa type flavors from the wrapper. Some connoisseurs have also noted distinct nutty notes through all three-thirds of these 5.0" x 50 robustos.
Pick up the Rocky Patel Sun Grown Maduro robusto in both boxes of 20 and singles here at , you'll be glad you did!
