The Rocky Patel Seed to Smoke Shade takes the same no-nonsense philosophy behind Seed to Smoke Classic and moves it toward the lighter side of the tobacco spectrum. Handcrafted at El Paraiso in Honduras, it uses a golden Connecticut-seed wrapper grown in Honduras over a Honduran binder and a Cuban-sandwich combination of Honduran and Nicaraguan tobaccos. The mixed-filler construction makes intelligent use of shorter cuts of tobacco produced during premium cigar making, allowing Rocky Patel to deliver a handmade cigar at a price intended for genuine everyday smoking.
Mild to medium in body, the Shade is creamy and easygoing without becoming anonymous. Cedar, hay and lightly roasted tobacco form the foundation, with subtle coffee, pepper and nuttiness adding enough depth to keep the cigar interesting. The Honduran-grown Connecticut wrapper softens the edges of the richer tobacco underneath while still allowing the core to show through. Offered in Toro 6 x 52, Churchill 7 x 48 and Sixty 6 x 60, Seed to Smoke Shade makes particular sense as a morning cigar, an accompaniment to coffee, or simply a dependable daily smoke when you want flavor without the weight of a heavier blend.
