Canada, British Columbia, Okanagan Valley – Golden Mile Bench
Road 13 Vineyards is a celebrated winery located in the heart of the Golden Mile Bench sub-appellation, known for producing expressive, terroir-driven wines. Under the stewardship of Anthony von Mandl's Iconic Wineries of British Columbia, Road 13 has built its reputation on a blend of tradition and innovation, honouring its roots while embracing forward-thinking viticulture.
Wine Description
This vibrant white blend shimmers a pale straw in the glass. The nose is a lively interplay of tropical fruit, citrus blossom, and melon, supported by hints of green apple and honeysuckle. On the palate, it is fresh and crisp, with flavours of pear, pineapple, and lime zest unfolding in layered harmony. Medium-bodied with bright acidity, it finishes clean and mineral-driven. Crafted from a mix of aromatic white varietals—most commonly Chardonnay, Viognier, Sauvignon Blanc, and Chenin Blanc—this wine is best enjoyed young, ideally within 1–3 years of the vintage to preserve its vivid character. Its hallmark is balance and purity, showcasing the Okanagan’s sunny climate and cool evenings.
Food Pairing
Pair this expressive white with grilled halibut, chicken piccata, fresh garden salads with citrus vinaigrette, or goat cheese crostini. A perfect match to enhance the wine's complexity.
