LOUIS XIII unveils RARE CASK 42, a remarkable new chapter in its legacy that exemplifies the interplay of time, nature, and masterful craftsmanship. This third release in the exclusive RARE CASK series highlights the expertise of Cellar Master Baptiste Loiseau, who discovered this rare treasure hidden within a single tierçon (barrel). With an unexpected 42% ABV, this cognac reveals an entirely unique aromatic profile, unlike anything previously encountered in the LOUIS XIII collection.
A Journey of Transformation
The eaux-de-vie within the tierçon have matured in near-total obscurity, evolving over time into a spirit of unparalleled complexity. Subtle interplays between nature and time have bestowed deep mahogany hues, emotional richness, and a multidimensional aromatic character upon this extraordinary cognac. Each drop is a testament to the mystery and beauty of time's unpredictable effects.A Ritual of Elegance
RARE CASK 42 introduces the first ritual set in the RARE CASK series, offering a luxurious black crystal decanter crafted by Baccarat. The decanter's design draws inspiration from a flask discovered on the battlefield of Jarnac in 1569, embodying both historical significance and modern artistry. It is accompanied by elegant crystal glasses adorned with black quatrefoils and a pipette featuring a black medallion, creating an immersive experience that merges tradition and innovation.Exclusive and Limited
Only 775 decanters of RARE CASK 42 are available worldwide, making it a coveted piece for collectors and connoisseurs. The decanters are painstakingly handcrafted by the artisans at Baccarat, emphasizing the meticulous attention to detail that defines the LOUIS XIII brand. This rare release not only celebrates the art of cognac-making but also underscores the importance of preserving nature's wonders. The Legacy of RARE CASK
The RARE CASK series began in 2004, with the discovery of a unique tierçon boasting a 43.8% ABV. This became RARE CASK 43.8, limited to 786 decanters. The journey continued in 2013 with RARE CASK 42.6, another exceptional release showcasing a singular expression of LOUIS XIII. With RARE CASK 42, the brand continues its tradition of honoring the extraordinary, blending heritage with innovation to create an experience that transcends time. *Recommended to confirm the availability with store before placing an order and purchase Route Protection.Bestseller ranking
