Remus Repeal Reserve Straight Bourbon Whisky Series IX is a distinguished limited-release bourbon created to honour the repeal of Prohibition on December 5, 1933. The 2025 edition brings together four carefully selected high-rye bourbons aged between 10 and 18 years, including a small but influential component of 18-year-old bourbon that adds depth and seasoned oak character. Bottled at 104 proof, this is the oldest and highest-proof expression in the Remus Repeal Reserve collection to date, delivering a rich and concentrated bourbon experience.
The nose reveals seasoned oak, ripe cherry, leather, and subtle tobacco, while the palate develops layers of cherry, roasted coffee, caramel, cinnamon, and warming rye spice. A full-bodied texture leads into a long, evolving finish of oak, allspice, coffee, cherry, and lingering tobacco. Enjoy it neat or with a few drops of water to reveal additional layers, making it an excellent choice for bourbon enthusiasts, special occasions, gifting, or collectors seeking a sophisticated limited release.
