Roar into the heart of California’s craft with Redwood Empire Grizzly Beast Bottled in Bond Straight Bourbon Whiskey. Crafted by Redwood Empire Distilling in Graton, Sonoma County, this 100-proof (50% ABV) bourbon, named after the Grizzly Giant sequoia in Yosemite and the 375-foot Mattole Beast redwood in Humboldt, adheres to the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897. Distilled in a single season (e.g., Spring 2019 for Batch 004), aged 5 years in 53-gallon American white oak barrels (toasted and charred to level 3), and proofed with Russian River Valley aquifer water, it’s non-chill filtered for a pure, robust profile. Batch 004’s four-grain mashbill (68% corn, 18% rye, 9% wheat, 5% malted barley) emphasizes finesse with increased wheat. For every bottle sold, a tree is planted, reflecting their sustainability ethos. Sip it neat for bold fruit and spice, on the rocks for a softer touch, or in a Boulevardier for a tangy twist.
