Redbreast was originally a brand name for Jameson's Pure Irish Pot Still Whiskey, bottled in bond by Gilbeys. First crafted in 1939, Jameson filled Gilbey's own casks, using two sherry casks for every bourbon cask. While the brand disappeared with the closure of the original Jameson distillery, it has been successfully relaunched and is now a huge favourite among whiskey drinkers and connoisseurs alike.
This 100% heavy pot still whiskey boasts a high sherry ageing percentage, giving it a distinctive richness that stands out in the world of Irish whiskey. With its growing popularity, Redbreast truly deserves to be marketed as a premium Irish whiskey worldwide, appealing to both seasoned enthusiasts and newcomers to single pot still whiskey.
