- Bright accent: lemon-lime brightness on the finish.
- Texture: medium-bodied with a smooth, lingering finish.
- Roast level: medium-dark for balanced sweetness and roast clarity.
How should I brew it to get the best cup?
Funky Chicken is versatile—works well as pour-over, drip, French press, or espresso. Grind and brew to match your method: finer for espresso, medium for pour-over/drip, and coarse for French press to emphasize body and chocolate notes.
- Espresso: fine grind to produce rich crema and chocolate-forward shots.
- Pour-over/drip: medium grind for clarity and balanced acidity.
- French press: coarse grind to maximize body and nutty sweetness.
- Ratio starting point: 1:16 (coffee:water) and adjust by taste.

How long will freshness last and how should I store it?
Whole beans keep peak flavor longer than pre-ground coffee; consume within 2–4 weeks after opening for best taste. Store in a cool, dry place in an airtight container away from light, heat, and moisture—avoid the refrigerator.
- Keep whole bean until right before brewing for maximum aroma.
- Use an opaque, airtight canister to protect from light and oxygen.
- Buy 12oz for regular drinkers; split or vacuum-seal if storing longer.
- Small-batch roast date on bag helps track peak freshness.
