Recapet Domaine de Targuerie VSOP Armagnac is an organic Bas-Armagnac crafted entirely from Baco grapes at Domaine de Targuerie in Cazaubon, France. Distilled using a traditional continuous Armagnac still, the eau-de-vie begins maturation in new 420-litre barrels made from southwestern French oak. Bottled at 42.5% ABV, it delivers a rich, rounded and velvety profile combining ripe apricot, Bourbon vanilla, caramel, dried fruit, warm pastry spices and an elegant prune-led finish.
Food Pairing: Aged cheeses, walnut tart, almond pastries, dried-fruit desserts, caramelized apples, dark chocolate, roasted nuts, and buttery biscuits. The producer specifically recommends mature cheeses and dried-fruit desserts.
Tasting Notes: Round, rich and beautifully balanced, with a velvety texture, generous volume and pronounced softness on the palate.
Nose: Expressive apricot and Bourbon vanilla developing into butter biscuit, caramel, dried fruit and speculoos notes.
Palate: Velvety, full and soft, with a rounded, generous character and complex pastry-like notes.
